. About the role
The Queensland State Manager will be responsible for setting up and leading our operations in Brisbane. The successful candidate will need to be highly organised, capable of working autonomously and able to manage multiple projects at once. They need to be reliable, have excellent attention to detail, capable of communicating professionally, and able to manage stakeholders.
While the role will adapt as EnergyLab grows, it is likely to include the following responsibilities: Program management:
The top priority of the role is to successfully coordinate EnergyLab's Acceleration Program in Brisbane Event management:
A large part of the role will involve running public events (such as panel discussions and hackathons) and private events (such as workshops) Stakeholder / relationship management:
EnergyLab is reliant on the support of our sponsors and partners so the Queensland State Manager needs to be able to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders Community management:
Managing the co-working space and network of startups in the office Public speaking:
The role will occasionally involve public speaking opportunities such as being MC at events and facilitating panel discussions Written business communication:
Being able to communicate in fluent English will be important for managing stakeholders and building EnergyLab's community in Queensland Media and public relations:
Communicating publicly and engaging with the media is a critical tool in raising awareness about EnergyLab's activities and encouraging more people to start clean energy startups
Possession of any of the following skills and experience will be considered a bonus, although are not necessary to apply: Grant writing:
A track record in writing successful grant applications Marketing:
Experience designing and executing marketing strategies, including proficiency in writing blog articles, press releases and/or marketing copy Social media:
Experience building an online presence through social media platforms such as Twitter and Facebook Design:
