Volunteer with us
The EnergyLab Volunteer Program provides an opportunity for passionate and hard-working individuals to contribute to our work and be rewarded for doing so
Help accelerate the clean energy transition
EnergyLab is looking for volunteers to help run our events and programs. Volunteers are called up to assist with a wide range of tasks, from running panel discussions and hackathons to keeping our coworking spaces running smoothly.

Volunteering is a very flexible role. We'll let you know when opportunities arise to help out and you can opt to assist or opt out depending on your availability. Volunteer for just 20 hours over the course of the year and we'll invite you to our end-of-year party, provide you with a solid reference and love you forever.

FAQs
Here are some of the questions we're commonly asked. If there is anything else you would like to know please email [email protected].
Where can I volunteer?
Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Canberra, Hobart, Townsville and Lismore.
How long does the program last for?
Up to one year. At the end of each year, we graduate all current volunteers from the program and then start recruiting volunteers for the following year.
Can I volunteer for more than a year?
If you want! We think volunteering for a year is generous enough but you're very welcome to re-apply if you want to.
I don't live in Australia, can I still apply?
No, sorry. Most volunteer work is done in person so we can only accept volunteers living in one of the locations EnergyLab is operating in.
What is the time commitment?
We ask volunteers to help out for 20 hours across the year.
What type of tasks will I be asked to perform?
Tasks will vary widely but are likely to include helping set up, run and pack up at events, as well as help out with other miscellaneous tasks.
