EnergyLab is delighted to announce Megan Fisher as Chief Executive Officer.
Ms Fisher has been CEO since 1 October 2021, after three months acting in the role. She takes over from co-founder of EnergyLab James Tilbury who remains as Director.
“It’s an honour to be at the head of an organisation with a mission like EnergyLab’s. We are creating our impact by supporting entrepreneurs in the climate tech and renewable energy sectors as Australia moves to a net zero future,” said Ms Fisher.
“Many of the solutions Australia needs to deliver on net zero have already been piloted and deployed by innovative startups like the ones we have as alumni. Helping these startups get exposure to the investors and businesses within the energy sector is more important than ever,” said Ms Fisher.
Prior to joining EnergyLab as an Advisor and Mentor, Ms Fisher worked with corporates in the media, telecommunications and energy sectors, most recently as the Head of Digital and Innovation at AusNet Services.
EnergyLab Chair and co-founder Piers Grove welcomed the announcement.
“Megan brings a tremendous blend of industry and startup experience. Her deep industry knowledge is vital to translating innovation and entrepreneurship into an effective path toward net zero and a just transition. We are excited for the beginning of the next chapter for EnergyLab under Megan’s leadership.” said Mr Grove.
“My co-founder James Tilbury and I are delighted with Megan’s appointment and wish her every success in the role.”
